BRAND FOCUS: Soko
With over 80,000 branded and specialist items available through its online store, ASOS is one of the busiest fashion hubs on the web today. Seven years ago it partnered with SOKO, a socially responsible clothing manufacturer from Kenya, to create ASOS Africa. Produced in Kenya’s Rukinga Wildlife Sanctuary, SOKO provides employment to underprivileged communities, supports female education and pays fair wages. The project has thrived and provides the inspiration for today’s Threads Around The Web.
The look we’ve created centres on a silky look cropped shirt by ASOS Africa. With a geo-tile print on lightweight satin, it’s easy to make any outfit look edgy with this crop top. We’ve teamed it with high-waisted blue jeans from Yoins and lace up, chunky-sole Dr Martins from ASOS. Accessorised with a cute cat velvet cross body bag, also from ASOS.
